Nator Dasht (فیلم سینمایی ناتور دشت) is an Iranian social drama–mystery directed by Mohammadreza Khordmandan. Inspired by real events, the film unfolds in a rural area in northern Iran, where the sudden disappearance of a young girl shocks the local community and disrupts the apparent calm of village life.

The story centers on Ahmad Piran, a respected and conscientious man who finds himself caught between personal responsibilities and a growing moral duty toward his community. As villagers, volunteers, and local authorities begin a tense and emotionally charged search, hidden tensions, fears, and unspoken truths gradually surface. The film carefully portrays how collective anxiety can both unite and divide people, revealing the fragile balance between trust, tradition, and modern social structures.

Rather than relying on spectacle, Guardian of the Field builds its power through atmosphere, restrained storytelling, and deeply human performances—most notably by Hadi Hejazifar in the lead role. The naturalistic acting and realistic setting ground the film in everyday life, making the unfolding events feel immediate and unsettling.

At its core, the film reflects on social responsibility, empathy, and the limits of formal authority in moments of crisis. Through a simple yet gripping narrative, Guardian of the Field offers a poignant look at how ordinary people respond when confronted with extraordinary circumstances.
