Ahe Sard (فیلم آه سرد) is a haunting 2025 Iranian drama directed by Nahid Seddiq, who also penned the script. Produced by Reza Mohaqqat, this is Seddiq’s directorial debut in feature films. The film had its theatrical release beginning October 3, 2023 (12 Mehr 1402) in Iran’s Honar va Tajrobeh cinemas, following its appearance in the national competition at the 41st Fajr Film Festival, where it earned the Special Jury Crystal Simorgh in the International Cinema category. Set amid a cold, mountainous road, Cold Sigh follows Baha, who shares a tense, silent journey with Bahram—recently released after two decades behind bars for allegedly murdering his wife. Together, they sit in silence as past traumas and Baha’s long-simmering desire for vengeance simmer beneath the surface.

Internationally, the film gained wide acclaim—selected for competition at prestigious festivals including Moscow, Santa Barbara, and Ischia. It earned notable accolades, such as Best Director (Silver St. George) and Audience Choice Award in Moscow, as well as Best Film at Chuvashia, and even screened in Brazil’s São Paulo, Spain’s Mujeres Madrid, and the OC Film Festival in the U.S. With compelling performances by Iman Seddiq and Ali Bagheri, wrapped in intimate cinematography by Masoud Amini-Tirani and evocative scoring, Cold Sigh is a masterful exploration of grief, trauma, and the cold burden of unresolved pasts.
