Electrician / Millwright
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- An electrical qualification with a minimum of N3 and a wireman’s license – 3 – 5 yrs experience
- Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the company standards for medical fitness
- Must have sound knowledge and understanding of the mining environment
- Must have a good understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to the quarry
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Planning and decision-making skills
- The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Electrical duties
- Executing daily electrical maintenance (PM maintenance scheduling and ensure all electrical equipment operates to required OEE’s)
- Installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical systems, machinery and equipment
- Identifying causes of electrical dysfunctions and repairing
- Compliance with all electrical work to SANS0142
- Devising and implementing electrical maintenance plans
- Complete required legal inspections and maintain the required SHE system
- Maintain all electrical drawings
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Millwright duties
- Install, align and dismantle heavy industrial machinery and equipment
- Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, bearings and hydraulics systems
- Conduct trouble shooting and root cause analysis on mechanical breakdowns
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment and balance of machinery to prevent wear and tear
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Adherence to the Mine Health and Safety Act
