About the Apprenticeship

Safripol is offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity in the Electrical & Mechanical fields. This apprenticeship is designed for individuals passionate about engineering and looking to develop practical skills and expertise within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidates will gain hands-on experience while learning from seasoned professionals in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical & Mechanical Apprentice, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical Systems: Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems, including motors, control panels, wiring, and safety systems.
  • Mechanical Systems: Learning to maintain, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems and machinery, ensuring smooth operations within the production plant.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing faults in electrical and mechanical systems, and working closely with supervisors to repair and resolve issues promptly.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keeping accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and technical issues for reporting purposes.
  • Health and Safety: Adhering to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 with Math’s and Physical Science.  (Math’s Literacy, Technical Math’s, Technical Science and Life Science and Life Science will not be considered)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • None

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undergo on-the-job training and experience in a chemical industry environment.
  • Successfully complete an apprenticeship program.

MINIMUM CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical capability, initiative and need for learning.
