Position Overview:
The Courier Guy is seeking a Porter to join our team and support the operations of our courier service. As a Porter, your role will be essential in ensuring that packages are handled properly, sorted, and loaded onto the correct vehicles for delivery. You will work closely with drivers and other team members to ensure smooth, timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Package Handling: Assist in the loading and unloading of parcels, ensuring that all items are handled safely and correctly.
  • Sorting and Organizing: Organize packages by destination, size, and priority to ensure accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Loading Vehicles: Help load parcels onto delivery vehicles based on delivery routes, ensuring proper organization to avoid damage and delays.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of deliveries, ensuring that all parcels are accounted for and any discrepancies are reported.

Minimum Requirements
– Must be computer literate.
• Experience in the courier industry is an advantage.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. 2X Customer Service Agent – Johannesburg

Job Summary: As a Customer Service Agent at The Courier Guy, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will be responsible for handling inquiries, resolving issues, tracking shipments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role demands strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to address customer concerns in a friendly and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat, addressing concerns related to shipment tracking, delivery issues, billing, and service inquiries.
  • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment delays, damaged goods, or misrouted packages, keeping customers informed on resolution status.
  • Provide proactive updates to customers on the status of their shipments and any potential disruptions or delays.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery processes and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of The Courier Guy’s services, policies, and procedures to deliver accurate information and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle returns and claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide feedback to management.
  • Track and manage customer service metrics to achieve performance goals, including response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction rates.
  • Assist with other customer service tasks as needed to ensure a positive and efficient customer experience.

Minimum Requirements
– National Senior Certificate, Grade 12, or similar qualification.
• Must be computer literate.
• Experience in the courier industry is an advantage.
– Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport is an advantage.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
