Job Overview:

A Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that buildings, offices, facilities, and other areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. The role involves a variety of tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Cleaners play an essential role in creating a safe, pleasant, and healthy environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

Duties & Responsibilities
Identify and action cleaning opportunities, in addition to set tasks.
Complete cleaning tasks within a specified time.
Cleaning in Offices/wards, public areas and areas as specified by your line manager.
Maintain and be familiar with Tsebo hygiene standards and OHS as prescribed.
Ensure that all OHS act (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements are adhered to for site specific requirements in line with company policies, quality programmes and legislation.
May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility.
Report incidents and accidents on client’s premises to the Supervisor or Contracts Manager.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with cleaning methods, materials, and safety standards is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
• Requirements:
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if necessary.
  • Willingness to undergo any required background checks or health screenings.

Working Conditions:

• Cleaners typically work in office buildings, commercial spaces, residential buildings, healthcare facilities, or industrial environments.
• Work may involve repetitive tasks and the use of cleaning chemicals, so proper safety gear (gloves, masks, etc.) will be provided and must be used.
• The role may require working in different environments with varying temperatures and humidity.
