uMfolozi TVET College Learnerships 2025: Empowering Youth Through Practical Training

uMfolozi TVET College, located in the heartland of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is still a beacon of vocational education offering multitudinous learnership opportunities designed to equip young people with the appropriate skills they can use to operate in the labor market. For the 2025 school year, the institution intends to embark on various learnership programs that incorporate subjects such as automotive motor mechanics and agriculture.​

In collaboration with industry partners, uMfolozi TVET College is offering a learnership in Automotive Motor Mechanics. The learnership will provide both theoretical and practical training, culminating in an Occupational Certificate at NQF Level 4.

uMfolozi TVET College Invites applications from South African unemployed youth to apply for Learnership Programme 2025.

uMfolozi TVET College invites unemployed youth to apply for an exciting Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Opportunity funded by ETDP SETA. This programme targets young people aged 18 to 35 years from the following District Municipalities: King Cetshwayo, iLembe, and uMkhanyakude.

Successful candidates will gain valuable work experience while receiving a monthly stipend of R3,500 over an 18-month period.

Student Requirements

To qualify for the WIL Programme, applicants must:

  • Be younger than 35 years old.
  • Have completed N6 studies within the last 2 years (2023 or 2024).
  • Not be receiving a stipend from any other source.
  • Submit full supporting documentation as required.
  • Special exceptions apply for those awaiting N6 certificates but who have completed N6 in the past 6 months.

Field of Study

  • Business and Engineering Studies (N4 – N6 level)

Documents Required for Application

  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Certified copy of ID (certified within the last 3 months)
  • Certified copy of N6 Certificate (certified within the last 3 months)
  • Academic record from uMfolozi TVET College
  • Completion letter
  • Proof of residence
  • Affidavit confirming unemployment and no stipend from any other source
