Available Learnership Opportunities:

We are currently recruiting for the following trades:

  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Boilermaker Plater
  • Electrical
  • Fitting (Including Machining)

Purpose of the Learnership

The purpose of this learnership programme is to train and develop individuals to become qualified artisans through structured learning and hands-on experience at Marula Mine.


Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must have:

  • Grade 12 / STD 10 / NQF Level 4 equivalent – essential
  • A minimum of N2 Certificate with four (4) complete subjects or NCV Level 4, with subjects relevant to the trade – essential
  • Willingness to:
    • Undergo a knowledge and psychometric assessment
    • Participate in a formal interview
    • Obtain a medical fitness certificate (Red Ticket) and undergo Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS)

Key Performance Areas

As part of the learnership, successful candidates will:

  • Undergo structured artisan training
  • Assist qualified artisans and perform technical tasks including fixing, replacing, and maintaining equipment
  • Complete engineering training phases through both on-the-job and off-the-job learning
  • Familiarize themselves with Marula Mine rules, safety protocols, and engineering standards
  • Learn and work under the supervision of a mentor (artisan or foreman)
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, problem-solving, and accurate reporting
  • Maintain engineering equipment to prevent production loss
  • Gain basic supervisory experience
