What is the Momentum Insure Short-Term Insurance Learnership?
Momentum Insure’s Short-Term Insurance Learnership is a comprehensive, structured program designed to offer individuals a hands-on learning experience in the world of short-term insurance. This initiative is specifically aimed at providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, making them industry-ready in a relatively short time frame.
The learnership is ideal for individuals who are eager to gain entry into the insurance sector but may lack formal experience or education. It provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in an essential area of insurance, covering aspects such as underwriting, claims handling, risk assessment, and customer service.
Momentum Insure, in partnership with INSETA (Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority), is offering young South Africans a fantastic learning opportunity in the short-term insurance industry.
The Learnership Programme offers participants the opportunity to develop their skills and gain short-term-insurance specific experience. Furthermore, successful graduates of this programme will receive a formal National Certificate: Short-Term Insurance, NQF level 4.
Requirements:
- Aged between 18 and 25 years (including turning 25 in 2025).
- Able to speak, read and write English
- Passed Grade 12 / Matric (a pass mark of 50% or above for English will be a requirement and Math will be beneficial).
- Be computer literate
- Currently unemployed and/or have no work experience
- Not be studying at any other institution or have any post Matric qualifications
- Currently not be registered for any other learnership
- Interested in pursuing a career in Short-term Insurance
- Have a passion for learning and the business environment
- Have a clear criminal and credit record
