Job Description: X9 Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Location: Adcock Ingram Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility
Reports to: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager
Position Overview:
Adcock Ingram, a leading name in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry known for producing top-tier medicines, is seeking a qualified and skilled X9 Operator to join our pharmaceutical production team. This individual will be responsible for operating, overseeing, and maintaining advanced X9 machinery used in the production process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation & Oversight:
- Operate and monitor X9 automated machinery, ensuring its smooth functioning during production.
- Set up and fine-tune machines as required to meet production specifications.
- Perform routine checks and inspections to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Quality Control & Assurance:
- Monitor the production process to ensure that all products adhere to quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Collect samples during production and perform necessary tests to verify compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Report any issues or deviations from quality standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Detect and resolve operational issues with X9 machinery, making minor adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team for more complex repairs or upgrades, minimizing downtime.
- Regulatory Adherence:
- Follow all relevant industry regulations, including GMP, safety, and environmental guidelines, throughout the production process.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all production activities, equipment performance, and corrective measures taken.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to identifying and implementing ways to improve efficiency, product quality, and equipment performance.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about new technologies and regulations in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with supervisors, quality control teams, and other departments to achieve production targets.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address challenges, provide updates, and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical certification or degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in operating machinery within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, preferably with X9 systems or similar automated equipment.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical production processes and equipment, with a focus on quality control and regulatory adherence.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to address machine issues quickly.
High attention to detail with a focus on ensuring consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
Effective communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
Ability to perform well under pressure while adhering to safety and quality guidelines
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during shifts.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lbs) as required.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and temperatures.
- Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
