Individuals with a strong sense of discipline and attention to detail, self-motivated, passion for technology, innovative thinker, enthusiastic and keen to learn and develop their skills on the following-
- Mechanical Fitting
- Fitting / Turning
- Plater Welding
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Matric with Maths and Science or N2 in the above fields.
- Practical experience in the factory / heavy industry environment will be an added advantage.
- A general relevant knowledge of the above fields.
- Ability to communicate well and willingness to learn and develop. • Good time keeping and attendance.
- Good attitude and ability to work with the team.
- Computer literacy.

About Umfolozi Sugar Mill:
USM is a leading producer of high-quality VHP brown sugar, which is sold in the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) and to various cross-border regional markets.
Situated in the heart of Zululand, 25 kms from St Lucia, the surrounding area of Mtubatuba is a vibrant farming community. We support our local small scale can growers and the rest of our cane is grown on the Umfolozi Flats.
We currently employ a total of 350 people, mainly form the local community.
USM is committed to sustainability and is awake to opportunities to expand its production of renewable electricity, bio-ethanol, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) as market opportunities arise. Currently, USM generates renewable electricity which is exported onto the national electricity grid and sold to third-party customers.
