Key Highlights of the Position
Purpose:
The aim of these positions is to engage skilled professionals to provide assessment services, ensuring adherence to UNISA’s Assessment Policy and Guidelines.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- An NQF Level 9 or 10 qualification in Early Childhood Education or related fields (e.g., MEd/MPhil/MTech/PhD).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Foundation Phase/ECD or relevant educational settings (TVET/University).
- At least 3 years of experience in subject methodology.
Duties:
- Professionally execute assessment tasks.
- Comply with UNISA’s assessment policies and guidelines.
- Mark assignments fairly and consistently, providing constructive feedback.
- Meet strict marking deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of the discipline, assessment practices, and academic integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
Recommendations:
- Computer and internet proficiency (desktop/laptop with stable internet connectivity required).
- Proficiency in English and digital literacy.
- Familiarity with online marking tools (e.g., Moodle) is advantageous.
