Job Purpose:

As a General Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of landfill sites and transfer stations. Your primary duties will include:

  • Maintaining site cleanliness to meet permit conditions
  • Inspecting incoming waste and directing vehicles to designated unloading areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and infrastructure, including access routes and offices
  • Adhering to safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with permit conditions and maintain a clean, organized site
  • Clean and maintain various on-site facilities such as offices, infrastructure, and equipment
  • Keep access roads and stormwater channels free of debris
  • Inspect and direct incoming vehicles to proper offloading areas
  • Report any incidents or non-compliance to your supervisor
  • Work in compliance with health and safety regulations
