Job Purpose:
As a General Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of landfill sites and transfer stations. Your primary duties will include:
- Maintaining site cleanliness to meet permit conditions
- Inspecting incoming waste and directing vehicles to designated unloading areas
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and infrastructure, including access routes and offices
- Adhering to safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with permit conditions and maintain a clean, organized site
- Clean and maintain various on-site facilities such as offices, infrastructure, and equipment
- Keep access roads and stormwater channels free of debris
- Inspect and direct incoming vehicles to proper offloading areas
- Report any incidents or non-compliance to your supervisor
- Work in compliance with health and safety regulations
