About the Position

The City of Tshwane is inviting applications for 15 welding apprenticeship positions as part of its apprenticeship programme. This initiative aims to empower individuals with the necessary skills and experience to become qualified artisans while contributing to the city’s operational and service delivery goals.

Job Details

• Job Level: Apprenticeship
• Stipend: R2 792,44 per month

• Job Purpose: To participate in the City of Tshwane’s apprenticeship programme and gain skills to become a qualified artisan in welding.

Application Requirements

To qualify for this apprenticeship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A Technical Matric, NCV Level 4, or N2 Certificate with Mathematics, Science, and relevant trade theory.
• A strong interest in becoming an artisan.
• Devotion and enthusiasm for the field of welding.

Primary Functions

• Participate in the City of Tshwane’s full-time apprenticeship programme specializing in welding.
• Engage in both theoretical and practical training to develop expertise in the trade.
• Work under experienced mentors and artisans to gain workplace knowledge and skills.
