Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Store Assistant/Cashier to join our team at Blue Bottle Liquor. This role will primarily involve assisting customers in selecting products, processing transactions, and maintaining store operations to ensure a smooth and efficient retail experience. As a key member of our team, you’ll help deliver top-notch customer service while maintaining a clean and organized store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist with product selection, offering recommendations and answering questions about alcoholic beverages.
- Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring a positive and personalized shopping experience for every guest.
- Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly and to their satisfaction.
- Cashiering and Transaction Handling:
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and provide accurate change.
- Verify customer ID to ensure legal age compliance for alcohol sales.
- Stock Management and Shelving:
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring that the store is fully stocked with popular and seasonal items.
- Help with inventory management, restocking shelves, and organizing the back stock.
- Ensure that the store is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about product offerings, new arrivals, and promotions to inform and guide customers.
- Maintain a solid understanding of different types of alcoholic beverages and their origins to provide expert advice.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding the sale of alcohol, including checking IDs and following age-restricted sales guidelines.
- Follow health and safety standards to ensure the store is safe for both employees and customers.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided. - Customer Service Skills:
A friendly, approachable attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential. - Attention to Detail:
