The Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Operations Learnership Programme is designed for individuals who want to gain practical experience while learning about the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants. Throughout the learnership, participants will develop essential skills and knowledge through both classroom training and hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Monitor water and wastewater quality parameters.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests.
- Help maintain equipment and instruments.
- Participate in water and wastewater sampling and analysis.
- Attend classes as part of the learnership program.
- Engage in discussions and activities during classes.
- Complete assignments, write assessments, and maintain a practical logbook.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum of Level 3 in all subjects).
- Must not be employed or enrolled in any qualification or Learnership Programme.
- South African citizenship and a valid South African ID.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- A SAQA/NLRD verification report (which can be obtained from the SAQA website).
- Applicants who have completed a post-matric qualification will not be considered.
