  • Electrical Apprenticeship (x2)
  • Millwright Apprenticeship (x2)

Position Overview:

As an apprentice at Dunlop, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training alongside experienced professionals. Our apprenticeship programs are designed to help you gain a thorough understanding of your chosen trade, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Upon successful completion of the program, apprentices will be equipped with the necessary expertise to pursue a career in their respective fields.

Electrical Apprenticeship (x2)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing environment.
  • Work with a range of electrical tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulatory compliance while performing electrical tasks.
  • Work alongside senior electrical technicians to develop knowledge in industrial automation systems, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Contribute to maintaining the continuous operation of electrical machinery and equipment by conducting routine inspections and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in electrical engineering or related fields.

Millwright Apprenticeship (x2)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other machinery used in the manufacturing process.
  • Learn to use precision tools and machinery to install and align parts.
  • Work with experienced millwrights to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely.
  • Support routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, calibration, and inspection of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure safety standards and practices are followed to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience or knowledge in mechanics, machinery, or related technical fields is an advantage.
  • Strong manual dexterity and an interest in working with mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
  • A strong commitment to learning, problem-solving, and teamwork.
