POSITION: CABLE REPAIRER X 1
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of a Cable Repairer, to be based at Diepspruit Coal Mine near Kriel, Mpumalanga.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cable Repairer to join our team. As a Cable Repairer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of our cable networks. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults in both underground and overhead cables, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the network infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems, experience in cable maintenance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. If you’re ready to contribute to a growing team and ensure the smooth operation of cable systems, we encourage you to apply.

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or N3 qualification
Test and Joints repair certificate
First aid certificate
• Good communication skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
• Coal Mining Experience will be advantageous.
• HT joints and couplers 95mm Pex cable
• Trailing cables joints, 4mm, 16mm,25mm and 95mm
• Hand tools and cable shop cable reel machines
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
: Ensuring that underground working condions are maintained to a high and acceptabie
• Conducting all assigned work in a satisfactory and competent manner
• Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
• Comply with the Client’s and Company’s health, safety, environment and quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Suitable candidates must be able to obtain Medical Certificate of Fitness and must not have criminal record.
The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position.
Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
