Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artisan Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical systems, a commitment to delivering high-quality work, and a passion for creating both functional and aesthetically pleasing electrical installations. The Artisan Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires an eye for detail, technical proficiency, and a strong commitment to safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installation: Install electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, light fixtures, and other components in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, troubleshoot and repair any issues, ensuring systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Customization and Design: Provide customized electrical solutions that align with client needs and project specifications. This includes working with architects, designers, and other contractors to integrate electrical systems into the overall design and functionality of spaces.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical work meets local and national codes and safety standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in the industry.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain the work process, and provide updates on project progress. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every project.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnose complex electrical issues and provide quick, reliable solutions. Ensure minimal disruption to operations during repairs or maintenance.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, including detailed reports of installations, repairs, and inspections, ensuring that all paperwork is in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Grade 12: N3 and relevant trade test

Minimum of 12 months in a plant environment

Medium Voltage competent

Knowledge of HSEC system

Proficient in English

Medically fit in terms of OHS act

• Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and precision in all work.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on project needs.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in varied environments, including confined spaces and heights.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy tools, equipment, and materials.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-experts in a clear and concise manner.
