Job Title: Auto Electrician
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in various vehicles, including cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a passion for working with automotive electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in vehicles, including issues with starters, alternators, lights, wiring, and control systems.
Repair or replace defective components such as wiring, switches, fuses, and sensors.
Install and configure new electrical systems and accessories, including alarms, navigation systems, and lighting.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems in vehicles.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical problems.
Provide accurate reports of diagnoses and repairs for customer records.
Collaborate with other automotive technicians and mechanics for comprehensive vehicle repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technology, and electrical systems in modern vehicles.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or similar role in the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Relevant certification or training in auto electrical systems is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a workshop environment and lift heavy parts.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and dealing with various electrical components.
Working Hours:
Full-time position with standard workshop hours; overtime may be required during busy periods.
