PURPOSE

This exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander Zambia to ensure that electrical planning, installation, maintenance and repairs/replacement of all electrical equipment (HT and LT) are carried out safely and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance

• Implement maintenance schedules.
• Maintain distribution boxes and low voltage electrical lines.
• Maintain and repair all pumps and electrical equipment.
• Conduct plant inspections on all key electrical equipment.
• Identify and prioritise equipment in need of maintenance/repairs.
• Plan downtime for repairs/maintenance.
• Conduct risk assessment and study procedures.
• Perform repairs and maintenance.

Technical Responsibility

• Coach and assist co-workers.
• Provide specialised maintenance on pump motors and fire detectors.
• Conduct legal inspections and logbooks.
• Perform fault finding on electrical systems, instrumentation, and cable installations.

Health and Safety

• Always act safely.
• Adhere to FA and client policies and procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions behaviours.
• Attend pre-shift meetings.
• Wear PPE at all times.

Administration

• Maintain a filing system for job cards.
• Prepare standby lists.
• Compile weekly artisan utilisation reports.
• Prepare reports (daily/weekly /monthly).
• Controls costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum requirement: Craft Certificate in Electrical
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
• Valid EIZ Membership.

EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
