Maintenance Assistant

Job Description

KEY FOCUS AREAS

  • Perform work assignments as directed, accurately, in a timely manner and according to identified priorities, such as maintenance of the property facilities, water systems, rooms and guest areas.
  • Assist in maintaining all areas on and around the premises, cleaning the heart of house area including the garbage area, the staff accommodation gardens and buildings, guest vehicles and pathways.
  • Assist in assessing maintenance requirements, such as the checking and replacing of pathway lights.
  • Cleaning and dosing/filling of pools and lanterns.
  • Assist in monitoring energy expenditure.
  • Assist in monitoring and verifying the maintenance of the property’s collective equipment.
  • Assist in implementing the property’s maintenance schedule and follow the procedures and systems of the preventative maintenance programme and all maintenance checklists.
  • Supervise occasional minor upkeep tasks as directed.
  • Teach your specific skills to other Maintenance team members.
  • Perform Gardens duties according to company standards if required.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Qualification, certification, and/or proven work experience in one of the following areas:
  • Building, Carpentry, Electrical/Air Con, Welding, Painting, Plumbing.
  • Knowledge on the applicable / relevant property and company procedures for Maintenance with specific focus on Workplace Safety.
  • First Aid Level 1, and Basic Fire Fighting qualification.
  • In depth knowledge of all cleaning products used.
  • Knowledge on the operation of different tools, equipment and appliances.
  • Basic knowledge of all MORE properties and all activities offered.
  • Basic knowledge of all departments/operations of your property.
